Welcome to the "For The Love Of Wendy" homepage. This website is dedicated to the memory of my fiancee, Wendy Larks. Wendy was taken from us July 31, 2001 after a long battle against breast cancer.
This website is named "For The Love Of Wendy" because it is the team name that I chose for the two groups of walkers participating in the 2002 Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day walks in Chicago and New York City. Wendy and I took part in the 3-Day walks in Chicago in 2000 and 2001 with various members of our family. Immediately after the 2001 3-Day, in June 2001, my sister and Wendy and I registered for the 2002 events in Chicago and NYC. Three weeks later, Wendy died. The reasons we chose to participate were not lessened, and my sister and I have gathered friends and family in both cities to walk in 2002 "For The Love Of Wendy".
